ABD Device

The ABD Device (also known as ABwipe) is a Class I sterile medical device developed by Aquila Bioscience for the capture and removal of 99.99% of harmful pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and biotoxins. Utilizing a nature-inspired biomimetic pathogen capture technology (PCT) rooted in glycoscience, the device is infused with complex glyco-sugars that act as a molecular magnet. These sugars form irreversible binding interactions with pathogens, effectively neutralizing and removing them from physical surfaces as well as human and animal skin. Unlike traditional disinfectants, the ABD Device is alcohol-free and contains no harmful chemicals, making it safe for use on sensitive mucosal areas like the eyes, nose, and mouth, while also preventing the promotion of anti-microbial resistance.
