Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Abediterol is a long-acting beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist (LABA) developed for the treatment of respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It acts by selectively stimulating beta-2 adrenergic receptor in airway smooth muscle, leading to bronchodilation and improved airflow. Abediterol is designed for once-daily dosing due to its prolonged duration of action. The drug was developed by Almirall.
