Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Abera Bioscience is developing an intranasal vaccine candidate for the prevention of tuberculosis (TB). The vaccine utilizes the company's proprietary Outer Membrane Vesicle (OMV) platform to present *Mycobacterium tuberculosis* antigens to the immune system. This mucosal delivery approach is designed to induce both local mucosal immunity in the respiratory tract—the primary entry point for TB—and systemic immunity. By leveraging the OMV technology, the vaccine aims to provide a robust immune response against TB antigens. The program is currently in the early stages of preclinical development.
