Abhayaarishtam is a traditional Ayurvedic fermented liquid formulation (Arishta) primarily used for the treatment of hemorrhoids (piles), constipation, and various digestive ailments. The primary active ingredient is *Terminalia chebula* (Abhaya or Haritaki), which is renowned in Ayurveda for its laxative, digestive, and rejuvenative properties. The preparation involves the fermentation of a decoction of herbal ingredients with jaggery (natural sugar) and specific fermenting flowers (*Woodfordia fruticosa*). It acts by improving intestinal motility, softening stools, and enhancing digestive fire (Agni). It is manufactured by several Ayurvedic companies, including Nagarjuna Herbal Concentrates, Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala, and Dabur.
