ABL209

ABL209 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) currently in the preclinical stage of development by ABL Bio. The therapeutic candidate is designed to target a specific antigen designated by the internal code 'Target C4,' which has been associated in preliminary pipeline reports with the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) signaling pathway or family. As an ADC, ABL209 consists of a monoclonal antibody conjugated to a cytotoxic payload via a linker. The mechanism of action involves the selective binding of the antibody to the C4 target on the surface of cancer cells, followed by internalization and the intracellular release of the cytotoxic agent to induce targeted cell death.
