Overview

ABL602 is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) being co-developed by ABL Bio and I-Mab. It is designed to simultaneously target C-type lectin-like molecule-1 (CLL1, also known as CLEC12A) and the CD3 epsilon subunit of the T-cell receptor complex. CLL1 is a cell surface marker highly expressed on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts and leukemic stem cells (LSCs), but notably absent on healthy hematopoietic stem cells, providing a therapeutic window to minimize bone marrow toxicity. By cross-linking CLL1-positive malignant cells with T cells, ABL602 triggers T-cell activation and the subsequent redirected lysis of the tumor cells. The molecule is currently in IND-enabling studies for the treatment of AML and other hematologic malignancies.
