Overview

ABO1022 is an mRNA-based vaccine candidate developed by Abogen for the prevention of tuberculosis (TB). The vaccine utilizes mRNA technology to encode multiple antigens derived from *Mycobacterium tuberculosis*, the causative agent of TB. By delivering these genetic instructions, ABO1022 is designed to stimulate both cellular and humoral immune responses against the pathogen. It represents a novel approach to TB vaccination, aiming to provide a more effective or durable alternative to the traditional BCG vaccine. The candidate is currently in clinical development, specifically in Phase 1/2 trials.
