Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**ABO21009** is a first-in-class humanized monoclonal antibody targeting CD45RC, a splice variant of the CD45 receptor-like protein expressed on pathogenic immune cells. Developed by AbolerIS Pharma, it selectively depletes CD45RC-high T, B, NK, and plasmacytoid dendritic cells that drive autoimmune responses through dual mechanisms of direct apoptosis and antibody-dependent cellular phagocytosis (ADCP), without inducing antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), complement activation, or cytokine release syndrome. Critically, it spares regulatory T cells (Tregs), memory cells, and overall immunity, promoting long-term immune tolerance and durable remission. Primarily indicated for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in patients refractory to anti-TNF therapies, with plans for expansion to other autoimmune diseases, graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), and organ transplantation.
