Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aborvac-S is a live attenuated veterinary vaccine developed by Vetal Company for the prevention of bovine brucellosis. It contains the *Brucella abortus* S19 strain, a stable, live-attenuated bacterium that induces active protective immunity against infection. The vaccine is available in two specific formulations: Aborvac-S Calf, intended for female calves aged 3 to 6 months, and Aborvac-S Cow, intended for adult cattle older than 6 months. It is used as a critical tool in livestock management to control and eradicate *Brucella abortus*, a pathogen responsible for significant reproductive losses, including abortion and infertility, in cattle populations.
