Overview

**ABP 215 + carboplatin + paclitaxel** is a combination regimen used in oncology, particularly for advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ABP 215 is a biosimilar of bevacizumab (branded as Avastin), a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that binds to vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), thereby inhibiting angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels necessary for tumor growth. Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that causes DNA crosslinking and apoptosis, and paclitaxel is a microtubule-stabilizing chemotherapeutic that inhibits cell division. This combination is administered intravenously and has efficacy and safety comparable to regimens using reference bevacizumab in key cancer indications, especially NSCLC.
