ABP-745 is an oral small molecule drug developed by Atom Therapeutics for the treatment of acute gout. It has demonstrated significant pharmacodynamic activity in animal models, including reduction of pain, improvement in gait, and decreased swelling and inflammatory factor levels. Preclinical and Phase 1 clinical data indicate that ABP-745 offers higher safety and tolerability compared to existing therapies such as colchicine and NSAIDs. The drug is currently advancing into multicountry Phase 2 clinical trials for acute gout. Due to its broad anti-inflammatory effects—specifically its ability to inhibit various inflammatory factors—ABP-745 is also being explored for other related inflammatory indications.
