Overview

ABS-103 refers to at least two distinct investigational drugs developed by different companies for unrelated indications. The most prominent and currently active is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) developed by Amberstone Biosciences, designed to target both CD3 on T cells and a tumor-associated antigen (TAA) on cancer cells. This mechanism aims to stimulate T cell-mediated cytotoxicity against tumor cells, making it a potential immunotherapy for neoplasms. Another historical use of the name ABS-103 refers to a small molecule derivative of valproic acid with antiepileptic properties, previously under development by American Biogenetic Sciences and QHSLab for neurological disorders such as epilepsy, migraine, and bipolar disorder; this program has been discontinued[1][2][3].
