ABT-751 + docetaxel is a combination therapy comprising **ABT-751**, a novel sulfonamide antimitotic and vascular disrupting agent, and **docetaxel** (Taxotere), a microtubule-stabilizing taxane. ABT-751 inhibits polymerization of microtubules and displays activity even in multidrug-resistant (MDR) cancer cell lines due to its ability to overcome drug efflux pump resistance, in part by inhibiting P-gp ATPase activity and acting as a BCRP substrate. Docetaxel stabilizes microtubules and inhibits cell division. This combination has been investigated primarily in **castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC)** and **advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)**, with demonstrated safety and some clinical efficacy in phase I/II studies[1][5].
