Overview

ABV-1703 is a botanical drug candidate developed for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. The drug's active pharmaceutical ingredient is BLEX 404, a β-glucan extracted from the Maitake mushroom (*Grifola frondosa*). Originally developed by ABVC BioPharma in collaboration with its affiliates BioLite and Rgene Corporation, the asset was licensed to OncoX BioPharma for further clinical development and commercialization. ABV-1703 has received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval from the FDA and is being evaluated for its immunomodulatory effects, leveraging the natural properties of mushroom-derived polysaccharides to stimulate an anti-tumor immune response.
