ABX-003

ABX-003 is a CNS-penetrant, oral small molecule therapeutic candidate being developed by Autobahn Therapeutics for the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) disorders. It is uniquely designed as a bifunctional agent that simultaneously acts as a thyroid hormone receptor beta (TRβ) agonist and a fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) inhibitor. By targeting TRβ, the drug aims to stimulate remyelination and promote neurorepair, while the inhibition of FAAH increases levels of endocannabinoids (such as anandamide) to modulate neuroinflammation and provide symptomatic relief. This dual-action approach is intended to provide both disease-modifying and symptomatic benefits in patients with neurodegenerative or neuroinflammatory conditions.
