Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ABX-PTH is a fully human monoclonal antibody developed by Abgenix. It is designed to target and neutralize parathyroid hormone (PTH), thereby acting as a PTH antagonist. The drug was investigated for its potential use in treating secondary hyperparathyroidism, chronic renal failure, and other parathyroid disorders. While it was explored for therapeutic applications, no clinical trials or regulatory approvals have been identified, suggesting its development as a pharmaceutical product may have been discontinued or not progressed to market. Research-grade biosimilar versions of Anti-Parathyroid Hormone Antibody [ABX-PTH] are available for scientific study.
