Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Acıbadem Kanser Asısı-1 (AKA-1) is an autologous dendritic cell (DC) vaccine developed by Acıbadem Labcell for the treatment of hematological malignancies. The therapy involves harvesting a patient's own dendritic cells and pulsing them with autologous tumor lysate derived from the patient's own cancer cells. These pulsed dendritic cells are then re-administered to the patient to present a broad spectrum of patient-specific tumor antigens to the immune system, thereby eliciting a targeted anti-tumor T-cell response. This personalized immunotherapy approach aims to overcome immune evasion by training the immune system to recognize and attack malignant cells.
