Overview

AC-262536 is a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) developed by Acadia Pharmaceuticals. It acts as a partial agonist at the androgen receptor with high affinity (Ki ≈ 5 nM), exhibiting potent anabolic effects in preclinical models while displaying significantly weaker androgenic activity compared to testosterone. In animal studies, it increased muscle mass (levator ani muscle) to about 66% of the effect of testosterone but only induced about 27% of its effect on prostate gland weight, indicating tissue selectivity and reduced risk of typical androgenic side effects. The compound suppresses luteinizing hormone and inhibits dihydrotestosterone-induced proliferation in vitro. Chemically, it is an aniline SARM related to ACP‑105 and vosilasarm (RAD140), with endo-exo isomerism where the endo form is active[2][5][7].
