Overview

AC6C3-2B12 is a human monoclonal antibody of the IgM lambda class that targets tumor-associated antigens (TAA) expressed on various human adenocarcinomas, including ovarian, colorectal, and breast cancers. Developed in the mid-1990s, it was primarily investigated for its utility in radioimmunoscintigraphy and radioimmunotherapy. The antibody can be conjugated with radioisotopes such as Indium-111 for diagnostic imaging or Yttrium-90 for the targeted delivery of therapeutic radiation. Preclinical research demonstrated that intraperitoneal administration of the radiolabeled antibody resulted in high specific tumor uptake, suggesting potential for treating peritoneal carcinomatosis.
