Acacia dealbata pollen

Acacia dealbata pollen is an allergenic extract derived from the pollen of the silver wattle tree (Acacia dealbata). It is a biological product used for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with immediate hypersensitivity (Type I) allergies to Acacia pollen. For diagnostic purposes, the extract is used in percutaneous (scratch/prick) or intradermal skin testing to identify specific IgE-mediated sensitivity. For therapeutic use, it is administered via subcutaneous immunotherapy (allergy shots) to desensitize the patient's immune system, typically by shifting the immune response from a Th2-dominated allergic profile to a Th1-dominated or regulatory T-cell profile, often accompanied by the production of blocking IgG4 antibodies.
