Accell Plus

Accell Plus is a demineralized bone matrix (DBM) putty developed by Integra LifeSciences for use as a bone graft substitute in orthopedic and spinal surgeries. It is composed of a combination of demineralized bone matrix and the proprietary Accell Bone Matrix (ABM), which is a more soluble and dispersed form of DBM. This formulation is designed to maximize the surface area of the bone-derived growth factors, particularly bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), thereby enhancing the product's osteoinductive potential. Accell Plus provides an osteoconductive scaffold that supports the attachment and proliferation of osteogenic cells while simultaneously inducing the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into bone-forming osteoblasts. It is primarily indicated for filling bone voids or gaps that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure.
