Overview
Accell TBM (Total Bone Matrix) is a demineralized bone matrix (DBM) product used as a bone graft substitute in orthopedic and spinal procedures. Originally developed by IsoTis Inc. and currently marketed by Orthofix (following its association with Integra LifeSciences and SeaSpine), it is composed of demineralized human bone. The product is unique for being a moldable DBM graft created through a proprietary process that does not require an inert carrier or plasticizer, ensuring the entire matrix is osteoconductive with osteoinductive potential. It is primarily indicated as a bone graft extender or bone void filler in the spine, extremities, and pelvis, often serving as an alternative to autologous bone harvesting from the iliac crest.
