Accum-E7 is an engineered protein-based cancer vaccine developed using the proprietary Accum technology platform. It targets the E7 oncoprotein of human papillomavirus (HPV), which is implicated in cervical cancer and other HPV-related malignancies. The vaccine is designed to enhance endosome-to-cytosol escape, promoting efficient antigen cross-presentation by dendritic cells and robust activation of cytotoxic CD8 T cells. In preclinical studies, Accum-E7 demonstrated both prophylactic and therapeutic efficacy against cervical cancer in mouse models—providing complete protection when used preventively and synergizing with immune checkpoint inhibitors (such as anti-PD-1, anti-CTLA4, and anti-CD47) to control established tumors. The mechanism relies predominantly on cross-presenting dendritic cells and CD8 T lymphocytes but also involves CD4+ and B cell responses. The vaccine has shown strong immunogenicity with no observed adverse effects in GLP animal studies[1][2][3][4].
