ACE2016 is an off-the-shelf, allogeneic gamma delta 2 (γδ2) T cell therapy developed by Acepodia using its proprietary Antibody-Cell Conjugation (ACC) platform. The therapy is designed to target solid tumors that express the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). By conjugating antibodies specific for EGFR to γδ2 T cells, ACE2016 enhances the cytotoxic activity of these immune cells against EGFR-expressing cancer cells. Preclinical studies have shown potent and selective cytotoxicity against a range of EGFR-positive tumor types with minimal toxicity observed. ACE2016 is currently being evaluated in phase 1 clinical trials for patients with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors harboring the EGFR protein.
