Elimont-AD is an oral fixed-dose combination therapy developed by Elis Pharmaceuticals India for the management of chronic respiratory conditions, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), particularly when associated with allergic rhinitis. The product integrates three distinct pharmacological agents: montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) that targets the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CysLT1) to reduce airway inflammation and bronchoconstriction; desloratadine, a potent, non-sedating H1-antihistamine that alleviates allergic symptoms; and acebrophylline, a xanthine derivative with bronchodilating and mucoregulatory properties. Acebrophylline acts by inhibiting phosphodiesterase and increasing the synthesis of alveolar surfactants, which reduces mucus viscosity and improves mucociliary clearance.
