Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pureace is a marketed fixed-dose combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing aceclofenac and paracetamol. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby reducing the production of inflammatory prostaglandins. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) acts as an analgesic and antipyretic, primarily targeting the central nervous system to elevate the pain threshold and reduce fever. Together, these active ingredients provide synergistic relief from pain, swelling, and fever. It is commonly prescribed for the management of acute musculoskeletal pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, dental pain, and post-surgical inflammation.
