Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fibmol-P is a fixed-dose combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication marketed by Uniark Healthcare. It contains aceclofenac, a phenylacetic acid derivative and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and paracetamol (acetaminophen), a widely used analgesic and antipyretic. Aceclofenac works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, particularly COX-2, to block the synthesis of inflammatory prostaglandins. Paracetamol complements this by providing additional pain relief and fever reduction, likely through central COX inhibition and modulation of serotonergic pathways. Fibmol-P is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and various musculoskeletal disorders.
