Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Acegenix-SP is a fixed-dose combination (FDC) pharmaceutical product developed and marketed by Nilegenix, a generic pharmaceutical company based in India. It typically contains three active ingredients: aceclofenac, paracetamol (acetaminophen), and serratiopeptidase. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes. Paracetamol serves as an analgesic and antipyretic agent. Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme that helps reduce swelling and edema by breaking down abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation and promoting tissue repair. This combination is primarily indicated for the management of pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with conditions such as post-surgical recovery, traumatic injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders.
