Overview

aCell Inj. is an investigational allogeneic cell therapy consisting of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs), developed by Asia Cell Therapeutics. It is primarily being evaluated for the treatment of mild to moderate acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The therapy works through paracrine signaling and immunomodulatory mechanisms, exerting anti-inflammatory effects, regulating the immune response, and promoting tissue repair in the lungs. It is administered via intravenous infusion and is currently in Phase 2 clinical development in China under approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).
