Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Acesol Plus is an oral combination tablet containing the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) aceclofenac (100 mg) and the analgesic/antipyretic paracetamol (325 mg). Developed by Boffin Biotech, it is indicated for the short-term relief of pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with various musculoskeletal and joint disorders, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is also used to alleviate acute pain from muscle strains, sprains, dental procedures, and headaches. Aceclofenac works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby blocking prostaglandin synthesis, while paracetamol acts centrally to reduce pain and fever.
