Overview

This is a combination of three formulations of acetaminophen and codeine phosphate tablets commonly referred to as "T1", "T2", and "T3". Each formulation contains a fixed amount of acetaminophen (a non-opioid analgesic and antipyretic) combined with increasing doses of codeine phosphate (an opioid analgesic). The typical strengths are: - T1: Acetaminophen 300 mg + Codeine Phosphate 8 mg - T2: Acetaminophen 300 mg + Codeine Phosphate 15 mg - T3: Acetaminophen 300 mg + Codeine Phosphate 30 mg These medications are used for the short-term relief of mild to moderate pain. Acetaminophen works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, reducing pain and fever. Codeine acts primarily as a mu-opioid receptor agonist in the CNS to provide analgesia but can cause dependence if used long-term[6][7]. These products may also contain caffeine in some markets.
