Acetaminophen + N-acetylcysteine is a combination of two small molecule drugs. Acetaminophen (also known as paracetamol) is an analgesic and antipyretic widely used for pain relief and fever reduction. N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is an antioxidant and glutathione precursor that serves as the standard antidote for acetaminophen overdose, protecting against drug-induced hepatotoxicity by replenishing hepatic glutathione stores and directly binding toxic metabolites of acetaminophen.
