Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cronef-T is an oral fixed-dose combination tablet containing taurine (500 mg) and acetylcysteine (150 mg), developed by Croise Pharma. It is marketed as a nutritional supplement and supportive therapy for the management of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and diabetic kidney disease (diabetic nephropathy). Taurine and acetylcysteine function synergistically as potent antioxidants and cytoprotective agents. They help reduce oxidative stress, protect renal cells from free radical damage, and prevent the deterioration of microalbuminuria, thereby slowing the progression of kidney disease.
