Acewyn-MR

Acewyn-MR is an oral combination tablet developed by Garwyn Remedies for the management of acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions and associated muscle spasms. It contains three active ingredients: the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) aceclofenac, the analgesic and antipyretic paracetamol (acetaminophen), and the centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant chlorzoxazone. Aceclofenac and paracetamol work synergistically to alleviate pain and reduce inflammation by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby suppressing prostaglandin synthesis. Chlorzoxazone acts primarily at the level of the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain to inhibit multisynaptic reflex arcs responsible for muscle spasms, a mechanism mediated in part by the activation of small- and intermediate-conductance calcium-activated potassium channels (KCa2.2 and KCa3.1). Together, these components provide comprehensive relief from pain, stiffness, and muscle tension.
