AchromoPhage

AchromoPhage is an investigational bacteriophage cocktail therapy in development for the treatment of chronic Achromobacter lung infections in adults with cystic fibrosis. It consists of a mixture of four distinct, naturally occurring viruses known as phages, which are specifically selected for their ability to target and kill Achromobacter bacteria. The therapy is being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial ('The AchromoPhage Trial') to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics when administered via inhalation and/or intravenous infusion. The trial is led by investigator Ghady Haidar and conducted at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of California San Diego.
