Overview
Aci-Jel Balance is an over-the-counter vaginal therapeutic jelly developed by Care Pharmaceuticals. It is formulated to restore and maintain the natural acidic environment of the vagina (pH 4.0–5.0) by providing a buffered pH of 3.9–4.1. The product contains acetic acid (glacial acetic acid 0.921%), oxyquinoline sulfate (0.025%), and ricinoleic acid (0.7%). It is indicated for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis and nonspecific vaginitis, helping to inhibit the growth of odor-producing bacteria and maintain a healthy vaginal flora. It is administered topically within the vaginal canal.
