Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Acidowipe is a brand name used by Fealth Life Care for a range of gastrointestinal products. The primary formulation, Acidowipe Syrup (also marketed as Acidowipe-OS Suspension), is a fixed-dose combination of sucralfate (a gastroprotective agent) and oxetacaine (a local anesthetic). Sucralfate works by forming a protective barrier or coating over ulcerated or inflamed areas of the stomach and intestinal lining, shielding them from stomach acid, pepsin, and bile. Oxetacaine provides rapid, localized pain relief by temporarily numbing the gastric mucosa. Another formulation under the same brand name, Acidowipe Suspension, is an antacid and anti-flatulent combination containing magaldrate and simethicone, which neutralizes excess stomach acid and helps disperse gas bubbles. Additionally, Acidowipe Kid Suspension is a pediatric formulation containing simethicone, dill oil, and fennel oil to relieve colic and gas in children.
