Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ACIFIN is a finished generic pharmaceutical formulation of aceclofenac, marketed by Zytras Life Sciences. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the phenylacetic acid class, primarily used for the relief of pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It functions by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), which are responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins—lipid compounds that mediate inflammatory responses and pain signaling. By reducing prostaglandin levels, ACIFIN provides analgesic and anti-inflammatory therapeutic effects. As a product of a PCD (Propaganda Cum Distribution) pharma company, it is distributed as a finished dosage form for clinical use.
