Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ACK02 (also known as IL212) is a preclinical small molecule drug candidate being developed by Ildong Pharmaceutical and its R&D subsidiary, Yunovia. It is designed to target and modulate the Interleukin-2 (IL-2) and Interleukin-12 (IL-12) signaling pathways, which are critical mediators in the pathogenesis of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. While these cytokine pathways are traditionally targeted by biologic therapies such as monoclonal antibodies, ACK02 represents a small molecule approach intended to provide immune modulation with potentially differentiated pharmacological properties. The program is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development and has reportedly received Fast Track designation from the FDA.
