Overview

ACLX-003 is a preclinical-stage cell therapy drug candidate developed by Arcellx for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). It is based on a chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) platform, specifically utilizing gene transference and T lymphocyte replacement strategies. The therapy targets an undisclosed antigen associated with AML/MDS, representing Arcellx’s second identified target in this disease area. The ARC-T technology used in ACLX-003 employs a proprietary D-Domain binding domain that requires activation by a matching SparX protein, keeping the engineered T cells inactive until engagement with the target antigen. This design aims to improve safety and control over traditional CAR-T therapies[1][2][8].
