ACM-1 is a small molecule drug that functions as an inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). It was initially developed by Sun Yat-Sen University. The primary mechanism of action is the inhibition of VEGF, which plays a key role in angiogenesis and neovascularization. ACM-1 has been investigated for its potential to prevent and control ophthalmological neovascular diseases, particularly through intravitreal injection as an anti-VEGF therapy.
