Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ACM-CpG is a proprietary vaccine adjuvant and delivery platform developed by ACM Biolabs. It consists of CpG oligodeoxynucleotides (CpG ODN), which are potent Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) agonists, encapsulated within or associated with Artificial Cell Membranes (ACMs). ACMs are synthetic polymersomes—nanoscale vesicles composed of amphiphilic block copolymers—that mimic the structure of natural cell membranes but offer enhanced stability and the ability to be engineered for specific delivery profiles. By protecting the CpG cargo from degradation and facilitating its uptake by dendritic cells and other antigen-presenting cells, ACM-CpG significantly enhances the induction of both Th1-biased cellular immunity and high-titer neutralizing antibodies. The platform has been primarily evaluated in the context of prophylactic vaccines, most notably the COVID-19 candidate ACM-001, which combines ACM-CpG with the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein.
