ACNU + vincristine

ACNU + vincristine is a chemotherapy combination used primarily for treating certain types of cancer, particularly anaplastic carcinoma of the lung. This combination therapy was designed to address the heterogeneous nature of anaplastic carcinoma, which can include undifferentiated squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, large cell carcinoma, and small cell carcinoma. ACNU (nimustine) is a nitrosourea compound that acts as an alkylating agent, cross-linking DNA and inhibiting cancer cell growth. Vincristine is a vinca alkaloid that binds to tubulin, preventing microtubule formation during cell division, thus stopping cancer cells from dividing.
