Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Acrivastine is a second-generation H1-receptor antagonist antihistamine used for the symptomatic relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis, including symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, pruritus, lacrimation, and nasal congestion. It functions by blocking the action of histamine at H1 receptors, thereby preventing symptoms associated with histamine release. Acrivastine is non-sedating and available in combination with pseudoephedrine.
