Overview

AcSDKP-NH2 + inulin is a combination of two agents: - **AcSDKP-NH2 (N-acetyl-seryl-aspartyl-lysyl-proline amide)** is a synthetic or modified form of the endogenous tetrapeptide AcSDKP, which has demonstrated anti-inflammatory and antifibrotic properties. It acts by regulating inflammation, inhibiting fibrosis, and modulating tissue repair processes. AcSDKP is naturally released from thymosin β4 via enzymatic cleavage involving meprin-α and prolyl oligopeptidase. Its therapeutic potential has been explored for conditions such as diabetic nephropathy and other fibroproliferative diseases[1][2]. - **Inulin** is a naturally occurring polysaccharide classified as a dietary fiber. It serves primarily as a prebiotic agent to promote gut health but also exhibits hypolipidemic, hypoglycemic, antitumor, antimicrobial effects and may improve mineral absorption[6]. The rationale for combining these agents would likely be to leverage the anti-fibrotic/anti-inflammatory actions of AcSDKP with the gut-modulating or metabolic benefits of inulin; however, there are no established pharmaceutical products or clinical trials specifically investigating this exact combination.
