Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ACT01 is an investigational topical cream developed by Promius Pharma, LLC (a subsidiary of Dr. Reddy's Laboratories) for the treatment of actinic keratosis (AK) on the face and scalp. The drug was evaluated in a Phase 2 clinical trial (NCT02126670) that assessed its efficacy and tolerability both as a monotherapy and in combination with four experimental topical components, designated Comp01, Comp02, Comp03, and Comp04. The study, which enrolled 100 patients, aimed to achieve treatment success defined as 100% clearance of AK lesions. While the trial was completed in 2014, the specific active ingredient, biological target, and mechanism of action for ACT01 have not been publicly disclosed by the developer.
