ACTallo

ACTallo (also known as TCB-002 or OmnImmune) is an allogeneic, "off-the-shelf" adoptive cellular therapy developed by TC BioPharm. It consists of donor-derived Vγ9Vδ2 gamma-delta T cells that are expanded and activated ex vivo. Unlike conventional alpha-beta T cells, gamma-delta T cells recognize tumor cells in an HLA-independent manner, primarily through the sensing of phosphoantigens and stress-induced ligands (such as MICA/B) via their T-cell receptors and NKG2D receptors. This mechanism allows for allogeneic use with a significantly reduced risk of Graft-versus-Host Disease (GvHD). The therapy is primarily being developed for the treatment of hematological malignancies, specifically relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
