Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ActiGraft is an autologous point-of-care wound management system developed by RedDress. It utilizes a patient's own peripheral blood, mixed with a proprietary coagulation powder, to create an in vitro whole blood clot at the bedside. This clot is then applied to chronic, non-healing wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers, where it acts as a protective scaffold and bioactive covering. By mimicking the body's natural coagulation process, ActiGraft reactivates the wound healing cascade, providing essential components like white blood cells, platelets, and fibrin to the wound site. The system received FDA clearance and CE Mark in 2020 and is eligible for Medicare reimbursement.
