Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Actinium (225Ac) alpitatug satetraxetan (JNJ-69086420) is a first-in-class, anti-human kallikrein-2 (hK2/KLK2) antibody-based targeted alpha therapy (radioligand therapy) developed by Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer, specifically metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). It consists of a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody (h11B6) targeting KLK2, conjugated via the satetraxetan chelator to the alpha-emitting radioisotope Actinium-225. Upon binding to KLK2-expressing prostate cancer cells, the conjugate delivers high-energy, short-range alpha radiation, inducing double-strand DNA breaks and tumor cell death while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissues.
