Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ActiRhino Immunité (also known as ActiRhino Immunité Défenses Naturelles) is an over-the-counter dietary supplement developed by Laboratoires Grimberg to support the immune system and protect the upper respiratory tract (ENT/ORL sphere). It is formulated as strawberry-flavored lozenges (comprimés à sucer) containing a combination of the patented oral probiotic strain *Streptococcus salivarius* K12 (Bactoblis) and Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). *Streptococcus salivarius* K12 is a commensal bacterium that colonizes the oral cavity and nasopharynx, producing bacteriocins (salivaricins A2 and B) that inhibit common pathogens like *Streptococcus pyogenes*, thereby helping to prevent recurrent throat and ear infections. Vitamin D3 acts as an agonist of the Vitamin D receptor (VDR), contributing to the normal functioning of the immune system. The product is approved and marketed in France for adults and children from 3 years of age.
